10.08.2009 // Site Updated // WALLS!

Due to some triumph over my lazy half (and the fact that it's my first night off in literally a month), the website is almost done. I changed a few things, the size of the thumbnails and the way the menus work included. There are now three whole wallpapers up for download. Rejoice! XD

The K-ON! "Circumferent" wallpaper has finally been properly uploaded, and there is a brand new Neon Genesis Evangelion wallpaper up ("Abstract Heaven") as well. I also improved on an older Daft Punk wallpaper, "Stellar", and uploaded it to the site under "general wallpapers". I'm quite pleased with the amount of work I've done this evening.

I'm currently working on a Persona 4 wallpaper of Kanji Tatsumi for my boyfriend.
I'd also like to make a vector tutorial and some Green Glass wallpapers in the near future.

Now all I have to do is fix the vector links, and the site design will be officially done. Hope you enjoy the new walls (does anyone read this, anyway? I'm pretty sure I'm just humoring myself, lol).

13.06.2009 // Vector Finished, Work on Wallpaper Begins

I finally finished Mio's vector late last night, due to the three days I was accidentally given off from work. =)

I decided to keep the cane short (it was covered by something else, so I couldn't tell how long it was supposed to be) because it looked cute. I think I'll be going with a vectored abstract background, likely with lots of text and circular shapes. I am anxious for intersession classes to be over so I can design more than two hours in any given week. I seem to be undergoing some sort of vector/design-related frustration issues.

I have nearly all the thumbnails for the vector section set up as of right now (I know, I'm super slow at html), and am waiting for my other host's confirmation e-mail to host the full-size vectors. Some of them are up to 6000x6000px, so I definitely need a lot of hosting space for them. I wish they'd hurry up the e-mail, though. ¬_¬

So it turns out I had a serious lung infection, which I'm still being treated for. Needless to say, this has impeded the graphic design process. I'm beginning Mio's vector today. ^^;

22.05.2009 // Site Design, K-ON Project

I'm currently fixing up the html of the site layout, which has taken me longer than expected because I haven't done html in a couple of years. Also, as you can tell from this page, I started the blog today.

I really want to put my best work on the site, so I don't think I'll be posting many of my pre-existing wallpapers (except for the ones I am truly satisfied with). I'm thinking perhaps my Last Exile and Jigoku Shoujo walls are pretty good, but even then, I may rework them. I will be posting my pre-existing .png format vectors, though (I saved them in .jpg format when I was still a vector noob).

I am currently starting a "K-ON!" wallpaper series using the "Don't Say 'Lazy'" promotional images of the girls. I really like their clothing and poses in these scans. The good-quality scans I'm going to use of the girls are cut off at the knees, so I'll have to superimpose a poor quality image of their legs and then vector it over. I'm planning for these four walls to have a lot of abstract vector shapes and color fill gradients. I am also planning to release the character vectors for use by others on the site.

I may not get that much work done on the first "K-ON!" wallpaper (which will be Mio) today though, since I'm sick. I'm heading over to the after-hours clinic, because I do not want to cough up my lungs. And then, later tonight, hopefully after acquiring some cough suppressants, I'm going to see Terminator Salvation.

I'll try and post some work-in-progress images of the vector tonight.
